Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, popularly known as Neymar Jr. or simply Neymar, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a forward for the French club Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazil national team.

He is widely considered to be one of the best players in the world. Born in Mogi das Cruzes, São Paulo, Neymar began playing football at an early age and he was soon recruited by Santos FC.

He made his professional debut for Santos in 2009 and went on to score 54 goals in 155 appearances for the club, winning two Campeonato Paulista championships, the Copa do Brasil, and the 2011 Copa Libertadores.

Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, popularly known as Neymar or Neymar Jr., was born on 5 February 1992 in Mogi das Cruzes, São Paulo, Brazil. His full name is Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior.

He was named after his father, who was also a footballer. Neymar’s mother’s name is Nadine da Silva. He has a sister, Rafaella Beckran, and a brother, Davi Lucca.

Neymar started playing football at an early age. He used to play for the youth teams of Portuguesa Santista and Santos FC. In 2003, he was diagnosed with a rare condition called ACC (acute compartment syndrome), which caused his right leg to swell up. Fortunately, he recovered from the condition and went on to become one of the best footballers in the world.
