In the small hours of Monday, the Pakistan cricket squad departed from Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore for New Zealand via Dubai to take part in the T20I tri-series.

16 players from Pakistan and 13 members of the support staff will arrive in Christchurch on October 4 to prepare for a tri-series against Bangladesh and New Zealand that will start on October 7.

For all three nations, winning this  tournament will be crucial since it would provide them with the opportunity to polish up their preparations for the T20 World Cup in 2022, which will take place in Australia.
