Very pleased, our batting in especially was excellent. We ended the game quickly, demonstrating that we can succeed if we follow the procedures. Today’s seamers did an excellent job. Additionally, there was no slog today; instead, our hitters hit several solid balls off-side and leg-side. The series has been good; it is currently tied 3-3 going into the championship game. Jos Buttler is currently training more, but with the World Cup so near, we are unsure if we should risk him. Australia offers game playing opportunities.
But you don’t knows; he could show up the following day. After losing a few quick wickets, we believed 170 to be a respectable total. We may have fallen short by 10 runs or so, but Salt stole the match from us with their batting in the opening 4–5 overs. The change today was how they utilised the powerplay. I believe that the batting lineup needs to take charge and step up. As openers, we must create alliances to take the weight off of them
Phil Salt, Player of the Match
One of my finest T20I strikes, and a good moment to record it with the game still up for grabs. Being at the top of the lineup and playing effectively while selecting fielders is never easy. However, the squad has supported me and made it obvious how they want me to perform. You need competition; the finest teams engage in it.
