Shaheen Afridi Biography
SHAHEEN AFRIDI, born April 6, 2000, is a Pakistani fast-bowler with tremendous talent who will be representing Middlesex County Club in the England and Whales domestic league. He represents Pakistan in international cricket and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan‘s National T20 Cup. Shaheen was approached by foreign teams after picking up five wickets in two games against Baluchistan and Sindh in the 2020-2021 National T20 Cup while playing for the Khyber team. This savage bowler can consistently bowl at 140 kph, smashing bats.
Shaheen Afridi Biography: Childhood
Shaheen was born to Ayaz Khan of the Khyber district’s biggest Afridi Tribe, the Zakhakhel Afridi Group, along with 6 brothers. His older brother, Riaz, who played a Test for Pakistan in 2004, introduced him to the sport. He began playing the sport at the nearby Tatara Ground, where he received rudimentary coaching from his brother.
His bowling talents with tennis bowls wowed his brother, who encouraged him to pursue specialized training and try his luck at U-16 selection tryouts. He applied for selecting trials for Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) at the age of 15 and was lucky to be picked in his first-ever tests.

- He made his first outstanding performance in the Pakistan U-16 series against Australia in 2015. He took four wickets in the series, assisting the squad to a 2-1 victory.
- In 2016, he was lucky to be chosen in Pakistan’s U-19 squad for his bowling scores and to play Pakistan at the 2016 U-19 Asia Cup. He grabbed three wickets for 27 runs in their first encounter against Singapore.
- Within a year, he participated in the BPL for Dhaka Dynamites .and the Quid-e-Azam Trophy 2017-2018
- In 2018, he joined as a fast bowler with Lahore Qalandars for the 2018 Pakistan Super League. He was named Player of the Match after taking six wickets in an inning against by the Multans.
- In the same year, he made his debut for Balochistan in the 2018 Pakistan Cup.
- Hampshire County Cricket Club selected him for the 2020 T20 Blast in 2019. He had an incredible tournament performance, taking four wickets in four balls and completing a hat-trick.
